Alexandra Paul (formerly of Baywatch): "The more I thought about it, the more I realized that population is a key issue underpinning most other serious environmental issues that we face. But when I see environmental stories, population is only mentioned in passing if at all. That's why, in my public activism, I've decided to focus on population. It's the poor stepchild of the environmental movement."

Ted Danson: "Do celebrities worry that when we speak out on an issue we might be doing some harm as well as some good? Sure! I wonder sometimes if people see me and say 'Now why on earth would I want to hear Sam Malone talking about oceans?'"
