April 1, 2009, was the entry deadline for SEJ's 8th annual journalism
contest, which honors outstanding
environmental coverage in nine
categories, each with a $1,000 prize, plus a student category. The
contest also includes a book category offering a $10,000 prize.
The
entries will be judged this summer by
panels of esteemed journalists and
journalism educators, and the winners
will be announced at SEJ's
19th Annual Conference, October 7-11,
2009, in Madison, Wisconsin.
